Annual Physician Licensure Renewal

Licensure renewal is mandatory for physicians wishing to continue practicing in Saskatchewan.  Renewal is once again OPEN.  

The information below is provided here for your convenience only. 

Physicians wishing to renew their licence to practice should check their email for two notification emails containing information and a personalized link to begin the renewal process.  If you had not received your emails by October 1, please contact the CPSS at cpssreg@cps.sk.ca to update your contact information and to request a copy of both emails.

We apologize once again to those who were quick to respond to our initial notice and who encountered renewal issues. We thank you for your patience and understanding and commit to continuing to work through these issues with you.

Your annual licensure renewal is to be completed on or before November 9, 2020. To avoid the risk of experiencing any interruption to practice privileges and being charged a late fee of $450, please take immediate action to complete your renewal upon receiving your email notification.

Please note:  The Online Renewal System has undergone significant upgrades and has a brand-new look with improved functionality. We anticipate more straightforward renewals will now take an average of 30 minutes or less, whereas more complex renewals may take approximately 45- 60 minutes to complete.

			Did you know that the College processes 4000 renewals during the annual renewal period? All renewals with changes are reviewed and vetted by staff before licensure is approved.  If you know that you will answer yes to any renewal questions or have documents to submit as part of your renewal, please complete your renewal as soon as possible, to ensure appropriate time for the review and approval process.

Annual Membership Fee

The 2020 annual membership fee is $1880. This is the fifth consecutive year we have not raised fees and instead have been able to accommodate inflationary increases through internal efficiencies. Saskatchewan’s fees fall mid-range to fees across all provinces.
