He entered a guilty plea to a charge of failing to provide reports requested by several patients within a reasonable time. Prior to the penalty hearing, Dr. Steenberg signed an undertaking with the College that he would maintain appropriate patient records for his current patients and that he would send letters to those patients for whom he had not maintained appropriate patient records advising them of that fact. The penalty imposed by the Council was: 1. a one-month suspension from practice; 2. an order to pay the cost of the investigation and hearing in the amount of $3,389.84.Charges
